Found your blog on my desperate search of other women who have husbands in seminary, trying to get some insight. Love your blog. We are moving to seminary at the end of July, is your husband still in seminary?
Welcome! My husband just finished his first year at Southeastern Baptist Seminary in NC, but he just decided to stop for now. He was getting an MA in Intercultural Studies, but we found out that it wasn’t going to be as helpful as we thought for what we want to do overseas, so he’s going to get certified to teach English instead
But we both already have our Bachelor’s in Christian Studies, so we got a pretty good feel for the seminary education in college. Which seminary are you guys moving to? There are definitely pros and cons to seminary, but I think you’ll love it
Feel free to email or comment and we can talk about it if you want!
Aubry, Came across your blog because a friend recommended it. Encouraging stuff for all. I have added a link to your blog on my website so others can find their way to your blog from there as well. – MB
Thanks so much, Mike. Glad to have you here!
God led me to you this morning and I am praising Him for that! I got on Facebook to find information so I can go raspberry picking today and saw that my friend had posted a link to your Proverbs 31 article, which led to your blog, which led me to reading about a woman who is following God and her dreams! I’m in! As a stay-at-home of two beautiful girls (7 and 4) who struggles to pursue my dream of writing,I am looking forward to getting to know you! : )
Welcome, Kimberly! So glad you’ve found your way here! I look forward to getting to know you, too!
Aubry- found you thru Adam Mchughs blog. Doing a quick purview of your posts I think you join Kathy Escobar, Rachel Held Evans and Sarah Bessey as my fave ladies of blogdom. I noticed one of Henry Clouds books on your reading list. My mom worked very closely with him in California in a hospital and he is a great guy. I really look forward to reading your blog from here on out.
Robert, what a honor to be considered among those three lady-bloggers. They are three of my absolute favorites, too. That’s crazy that your mom worked with Dr. Cloud! His book, “How People Grow” was so helpful to me during a really difficult and transitional time in college, and “Boundaries” is kicking me all over the place
Glad you found the blog – I’m excted to get to know you!
I did find you through your blog at churchleaders.com and am here to just encourage you to keep writing from your heart about your truth. I’m not sure where you are in NC, but if you’d like to meet over a cup of coffee, I’d love to share wisdom. email me at nan.gray@gmail.com if God leads you to. Amahoro!
Aubry- just wondering did you get my email?? Only asking so i know it didnt get lost in the shuffle, had some interesting things i wanted your take on. Thanks Aubry!!
Yes, I’m so sorry! I’m a bit backed up on my emails, blog posts, and generally everything in life, haha – I will try to respond tonight after my kids go down! Thanks for your patience with me
Aubry, Love your Chick-fil-a article. Where are you and your husband planning to go overseas?
